What's New?

Field  Trip Reminders:

• Be dropped of at the front of the school & meet in the gym between 6:50-7:00am.
• Wear CLOSED-TOED shoes... no sandals!
• Wear Class T-shirt.  Bring a jacket/sweater in case you get cold.
• Bring a snack in a RESEALABLE/ZIPLOC bag. 
• Bring a CLEAR LIQUID DRINK with a reseable cap.
• You may bring silent games, books, cards, etc. for the bus.  You may bring your "bus items" in a small bag/bookbag.
• NO ELECTRONICS (Gameboys, MP3 players, etc.)
• You may bring a disposable camera if you choose.
• Your parent must be at the school between 4:45-5pm to pick you up.  If you are riding home with someone else, you need a note.

Weekly Overview for March 31-April 4:

• This week in ...
• Math:  This week we will be multiplying and dividing with decimals.
• Reading:  This week we will be using a portion of our reading to work on Social Studies; we will also do CRCT prep.
• English:  This week we will work on verbs and adverbs.
• Spelling Week; LA Packet will be completed in class
• Writing:  Students will be working on their color poems and peer editing/revising and final drafting.
• Social Studies:  We will continue with Ch. 9 this week.
• Science:  We will begin our new unit on animal behaviors and adaptations.

EXTRA CREDIT OPPORTUNITY:  This week in SS we began discussing the Constitution.  Students may memorize the Preamble to recite to me for +5 points towards a subject of their choice.  The deadline to recite is Friday, April 18th!
