Welcome to our web blog! Our counseling team is excited to have two full time counselors to serve the students and families at Bullard Elementary for the 2011-2012 school year. Mrs. Carlisle is the counselor for first, third, and fourth grade. Ms. Gillilan is the counselor for Kindergarten, second, and fifth grade.
Mission Statement:
The mission of the Bullard Elementary counseling department is to provide a comprehensive developmental counseling program that addresses the areas of academic support, career development and personal/social skills.
Philosophy and Beliefs:
~ Students, family, school and community should be involved in an ongoing partnership with counselors that are responsible for the success in the learning environment.
~ Each student is a valued individual with unique physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs.
~ Students learn best in a loving and safe environment where they feel encouraged, respected and nurtured.
~ Implementing a curriculum which addresses the needs of all students in the areas of academics, social and emotional growth and career development which will foster student performance.
~ Teach students that they will become productive learners when they demonstrate personal responsibility, make positive life choices, and develop effective coping skills.
The Bullard School Counseling Program:
~ is designed to reach every student
~ Is comprehensive in scope, preventive in design, developmental in nature and is an integral part of the total educational program for student success
~ Selects measurable student competencies based on the School Strategic Plan
~ Is implemented by credentialed school counselors
~ Is conducted in a collaboration with all stakeholders, uses data to drive decisions, monitors student progress, measures both process and outcome results and analyzes critical data elements
~ Seeks improvement each year based on results data and shares successes with stakeholders
Bullard School Counselors will:
~ Plan and manage the comprehensive school counseling program in collaboration with our site administrators
~ Abide by the professional school counseling ethics as advocated by the American School Counselors Association
~ Participate in professional development activities essential to maintaining a quality school counseling program

Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is great blog.
