The 3rd Grade students researched jobs today. They had to pick two categories that interested them. They then had to look at different occupations under their two categories. Finally they had to pick a career to have. For homework students will have to complete Job Description and Education/Training involved in their career choice. Use the following website to help get this information.
We had so much fun in 1st grade learning about each other last week! I can't wait to get to know everyone better as the year goes on.

Welcome back all old and new 3rd graders. I am excited about strarting our new unit. We will be learning about money and economics. We learned this past week the power of a penny and when doubled how much it can really add up to! In the next few weeks we will be learning about the history of money and some important events that happened in our history. If you forgot your pennies, bring them to class next time.
Our end of the unit celebration will see our trailer magically transformed in a bat roost. To help create this bat-tastic habitat, we need bat costumes. A letter went home with your third graders explaining this "at-home" piece of the culminating project. Here are some links that might help you in your quest to transform your child into a bat!
