Fifth grade was hard at work today completing our first test toward dissection, as well as, researching the characteristics of a shark's tooth and how this effects diet. For homework the students are to create a plant life or sea life located on the bottom of the ocean. I am including sites to aid in their creativity. The students have one week to complete the assignment:)
Today in Target the students learned to distinguish among federal, state, and local taxes and the goods and services they support. Also, they learned how to how to Identify three basic types of taxes (income, sales, and property) and describe the purposes of each. Each child then calculated the percentage of taxes removed from their gross pay to determine their net. The website below is filled with information on all we explored!
