Week of January 23 - 27, 2012

Fifth grade students continued learning about jobs & careers.  Students had an opportunity to complete a career interest inventory, which introduced them to eight career clusters.  Fifth graders scored their papers, and then looked at examples of careers which might match their interests.  Students will receive more career education lessons in middle school.

Week of January 17 - 20, 2012

During our second grade classroom guidance lessons, students learned some important safety rules, especially when they are around strangers.  Kindergarten students talked about examples of ways in which they demonstrate responsibility, at home and/or school.

 

Week of January 10 - 13, 2012

Fifth grade students discussed ways in which their job & career goals have changed over the past few years.  Students also learned about different educational requirements for some jobs and careers.
