During classroom guidance this week, third grade students followed up from the previous week's Red Ribbon activities.  Students learned ways in which drugs, alcohol, and smoking can be dangerous and discussed the importance of making safer, healthier choices.

Week of October 26, 2009

Classes discussed the purpose of Red Ribbon Week during our classroom guidance lessons this week.  In kindergarten, students had the opportunity to practice sorting healthy choices v. non-healthy choices.  Fourth graders had a lesson on the dangers of smoking and the effects it can have on the body.

Parent Lunch-N-Learn

The Bullard Counseling Team would like to invite parents to a "Lunch-N-Learn" on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 11:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. in the Media Center.  Professional counselors from Cobb County will present "Helpful Strategies for the Disorganized Child."  Please bring your lunch or plan to purchase one in the cafeteria and join us for an informative session!

We would like for you to RSVP if you plan to attend, by e-mailing the counselor who works with your child's grade level.  Cindy Dorsey (cindy.dorsey@cobb12k.org) is the second grade counselor.  Dana Gillilan (dana.gillilan@cobbk12.org) works with kindergarten, third grade, and the following fourth grade classes: Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Corrado, Ms. Dempsey, and Ms. Mabary.   Lucille Carlisle (lucille.carlisle@cobbk12.org) is the counselor for first grade, fifth grade, and Mrs. Martin, Mrs. O'Neal, Mrs. Riley, and Mrs. VanDyke's fourth grade classes.
