Fall is in full swing. The leaves are beautiful and there's a chill in the air. This is the perfect time to get a flu shot. Flu shots last about 6 months. Peak months for flu are usually February and March. I encourage everyone to get a flu shot. However, always check with your doctor to make sure it's safe for you and your children.
We are in the process of hearing and vision screening for our 1st and 4th Graders. If you have a child in either grade, we only send home letters to children that fail our screenings. If you do receive a letter please feel free to call me with any questions or concerns.
Just a reminder since the cooler weather is upon us and flu season is approaching, please monitor your children for any signs of illness. Please do not send your child to school if he or she has a fever, or has vomited or had diarrhea in the last 24 hours. This is for 2 reasons. The first being that we do not want illnesses to spread to other children, but also the second reason being that if your child is sick there is a greater chance that he or she could dvelop another infection or sickness, and need to miss more days of school.
I am in need of quart size ziplock bags and cheese crackers in the clinic. Thanks for your help with this!!
Thanks so much for all you do!!
