Hello to All!

It's hard to believe that February is almost over!  Hopefully General Lee's prediction will be correct and we will have an early spring!

We are moving ahead with our reading and writing each day in class.  This is the time frame when I usually see kids taking off!  March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' birthday and Read Across America.  Kindergarten will be having RAD (Read All Day) that day and students will be allowed to wear their pajamas!  This is one of my favorite times of the year because it always inspires so many children to start reading many of the Dr. Seuss books.

We are continuing our study of money in math.  Our goal is to really learn and "know" the coins without mixing them up.  Any practice you can give at home would be helpful.

Donations Needed:

    --We are in need of a new portable CD player for one of our listening stations.  One of our original ones has broken :-(.

    --We are also in need of bandaids for the classroom.

Hello there!  It's been a long time since I've posted!

I hope you are all planning on attending our feast this Friday, November 21, from 11:45-12:30.  I want to wish you a safe and happy Thanksgiving break!  I appreciate all of your support so far this year.  The children have already shown so much growth and will really take off in the next couple of months!

          --Each child will need a Pringles can for a project we will be doing, so please save these and send them in after Thanksgiving break.

          --Mark your calendars for our class holiday party on Thursday, December 18, from 11:00-12:30.

Welcome to Kindergarten!!!

I am so excited to start this school year!  I really enjoyed meeting all of you at Sneak-a-Peek.  I know that we are going to have an amazing year!  I have a lot of fun and educational things planned to give your child an outstanding kindergarten experience.  I am looking forward to getting to know the children and to getting to know you as well!

Hello Everyone!  School has gotten off to a great start!  The children are amazing!  Thank you for sharing them with me!  I can tell already that we're going to have a great year!
