Hello Parents and Students,
We are having a wonderful time learning about the solar system. We are studying the stars and our moon. On Terrific Tuesdays we have a parent come into the classroom to teach an enriching activity in Science, Cooking, and Arts & Crafts. The lessons tie into our curriculum. On Fridays we have a mystery reader come to read to our class. We have had grandparents, aunts, siblings, and parents. What a special treat it is for the students!
We wish a Happy Birthday to Olga!
Valentine's Day will be a fun filled day for us. We will "mail" our valentines in our mailboxes and then read each one. Sorting them into categories will incorporate math. In the afternoon we will have Valentine Center time! Thank you to all that have sent donations!
Book reports are due Feb. 28th. If you have lost your directions, please ask for another. Remember, this book report is on an informational book (Non-fiction) and the student is to create a poster with pictures and a 5 sentence summary. All work is to be done by the student! The grading rubric that I will use is attached to the directions.
