Parents,
I have revised the homework process as we are working to conserve paper. In lieu of the Language Arts packet, this week the students will work on reviewing math concepts for this 3rd quarter prior to the Math post test. Reading is an expectation each day as well as completing at least one Reading Connection (Blue Book) entry. Tuesday evening, students will complete questions in their Science book, page 272 #1-4.
To being our year, we are discussing book selection and what makes a book "just right" for us. Students will be self selecting their class reading book which is to be read between home and school. It is imperative that the book comes back to school each day as we will be doing various strategy lessons with the student texts each day.
Students will use their reading book bags created by our awesome room moms, Mrs. Cantrell and Mrs. Pattee. Thanks for all your help!
Parents,
Thank you for your support and encouragement with your child's reading. Your insight, feedback, and reactions to your child's reading progress is invaluable. Please continue to share the experience together at least once a week at a time that is most convenient for you.
Thanks so much!
